The Story

The Prince turned into a heart and then flew away.
The Princess went up the mountain. The heart then turned back into a Prince.
Then the Prince came back and had a tea party with the Princess.

I asked my 3 year old daughter to tell me a story. What a perfect fairy tale.

The man goes up the mountain (or on an adventure), leaving his love behind. The woman tracks him down before he gets too carried away and brings him home. They live happily ever after…

I’ve been studying the heart of men lately. We sure look for the adventure in life. I think men know that we are made this way on purpose. We’ve got that wild side that can never quite be extinguished.

Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. (John 14:11-13)

I think it’s pretty safe to say that this is a good thing. Jesus was an adventurer, rebel, visionary; he was great. We are created to desire greatness, just not our own.

Let great ideas and adventures grow in your heart. Just imagine…
